The design goal for the new student housing in the Municipality of Verres is to create a structure capable of generating moments of social aggregation between the different students. The collective spaces are designed as a result of the cultural contribution of each individual who lives, uses, and contributes within the building and in the community of Verres. A characteristic architectural element for distinguishing between common areas and private living spaces is a wooden vaulted ceiling in the common areas and a planar ceiling in the bedrooms.

The original windows are restored on all facades using new frames that maximize natural light and upgrade thermal bridges. The geometry of the layout is optimized through the chamfering of the corners at ninety degrees that are replaced by curves that guarantee a more fluid circulation, especially in the bathroom module of the rooms or other parts of the common areas. The existing staircase will be reused and enhanced with an elevator while a new egress staircase has been added on the northwest side.
